  • Who I am….

I'm a school teacher who has a passion for strength and conditioning. Over the years I have gained knowledge from the books, but more importantly through life experience and continued learning. My passion has turned into a side business. I see my responsibility as: 1. developing my trainees' strength throughout the whole body, not parts and pieces, both physically and mentally, and 2. to educate people on proper, effective exercise. If you train with me you will not get a cheerleader, but you will get somebody who will push and encourage you so that you will attain your goals. If you want to whine and not work hard, then find another trainer. It doesn't matter if you are a middle aged housewife or a college athlete-I can get you where you want to go, but only if you want it! If you are interested in training or nutritional counseling to achieve your goals, then please get in touch. Progress, not perfection! -Sweat Equity

Find your “why!”

Posted by Sweat Equity on 05/06/2016

We are all on this ride of life together. Some days it feels like a gentle breeze, while other days it feels like we are just holding on for the eight seconds while riding an angry bull. Whatever the season of life, take it head on. Too often we want to be spectators and lament. We are awe inspired by those who have achieved while failing to truly appreciate the drive, the hours, physical & mental effort, and sacrifice along the way to reach the pinnacle. We all have a pinnacle. It may not be the NFL or Hollywood, but inside each of us we have that flame that cannot be extinguished, that voice that we cannot shut up, that dream that will not die no matter how many times we attempt to change direction with our choices, be it relationships, people, or geography. That flame, that voice, that dream. Those are what will drive you to your pinnacle. Find your “why!” Get that passion that gives purpose to each day, not obligatory routine. The clock is ticking. Eventually you won’t have a chance to pursue your heart’s desire, your passion, your purpose.
