  • Who I am….

I'm a school teacher who has a passion for strength and conditioning. Over the years I have gained knowledge from the books, but more importantly through life experience and continued learning. My passion has turned into a side business. I see my responsibility as: 1. developing my trainees' strength throughout the whole body, not parts and pieces, both physically and mentally, and 2. to educate people on proper, effective exercise. If you train with me you will not get a cheerleader, but you will get somebody who will push and encourage you so that you will attain your goals. If you want to whine and not work hard, then find another trainer. It doesn't matter if you are a middle aged housewife or a college athlete-I can get you where you want to go, but only if you want it! If you are interested in training or nutritional counseling to achieve your goals, then please get in touch. Progress, not perfection! -Sweat Equity

Nobody can do it for you!

Posted by Sweat Equity on 04/03/2015

We all have goals, dreams, and have experienced failures. The strong and persistent of our species will use the failures as stepping stones to achieve their dreams. Be that person! Always go forward, and when you reach an obstacle, go through it, around it, or over it. To feel truly alive (in my mind), you must have a dream. The absence of dreams leads to the lack of goals.  A lack of goals will leave you devoid of motivation and drive. We need to be challenged. We have to harness and give direction to our desire. Wanting is not enough. Discover your dream and set your goals according to it. Set mini goals along the way so it doesn’t feel overwhelming, and then move one foot in front of the other. Some days you’ll be running towards your dream, other days you’ll be trudging, but trudging is still getting you closer to your dream than sitting around wishing for it.  Don’t be average! Don’t settle! Go head first, ass on fire, full speed towards that dream! This is not an excuse to be irresponsible with your life. It will take discipline  to balance what you want with what you need. Call it dream, passion, desire; it doesn’t matter. It’s what let’s us know we have purpose.

Progress, not perfection!
